United Korea Flag
I have designed this flag for the United Korea Flag Design Exhibition by invitation of the Gwangju Design Biennale 2019 in South Korea.
In 2013 South Korean designers were invited to submit works.
In 2019 it is the turn of International Designers.
In 2025 North Korean designers will have their chance, provided the country remains divided by that date.
Morning Calm Flag
The flag displays a symbolic representation of the mountains of Korea, a dominant landscape feature of the entire peninsula. The steep green mountain at the center of the flag is wrapped in white morning mist.
Steady as a mountain
Placid as the morning
United in harmony
When multiple flags are waived together they instantly compose an ephemeral Korean mountain range landscape.
